Akor Adams Breaks Ligue 1 Goal Drought
A long challenging period has come to an end for Montpellier's forward, Jerome Akor Adams, as he was finally able to break his scoring drought in France's Ligue 1 championship. The Nigerian striker had endured a dry spell since his last goal, having failed to find the net in his past twelve league appearances for Montpellier.
However, in the recent match against FC Nantes, Akor changed the narrative. The encounter, held at Stade de la Mosson, ended in a 1-1 draw, with Akor making his mark two minutes into the game by scoring a crucial goal for Montpellier, thus ending his six-month drought.
This performance from Akor not only provided him a breather but also helped Montpellier in slightly easing their relegation worries. His goal against FC Nantes was the first time he found the net since scoring a brace against Toulouse last year.
While he struggled to deliver in the past few months, his teammates have kept faith in his abilities, with fellow forward Arnaud Nordin even backing Akor to end his scoring drought.
