Argentina Beat Netherlands In Penalty Shoot-out To Advance Semifinals

In the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, Netherlands played against Argentina.

In the 35th minute of the game, Messi sent a wonderful assist, Molina scored, and Argentina led 1-0.

In the 73rd minute, Argentina won a penalty kick, Messi made a penalty kick, and Argentina led 2-0. This is Messi's 10th goal in the World Cup, tying Batistuta and tied for the first in Argentine team history.

In the 83rd minute, Weghorst scored with a header and the Netherlands pulled back a goal. At the last moment of stoppage time, the Netherlands cooperated with a clever free kick, and Weghorst scored another goal to complete the tie. The two sides scored 2-2 and entered overtime.

In overtime, neither side scored.

The game then entered a penalty shootout. In the first round, Dutch captain Van Dijk's shot was successfully saved by goalkeeper Martinez, 0 to 0. Argentina's Messi easily scored a penalty after tricking the goalkeeper, 0 to 1 .

In the second round, the Dutch team's Belheis's penalty kick was saved by Martinez, and Argentina's Leandro Paredes made a penalty kick, 0-2.

In the third round, Netherlands' Koopmeiners hit the goal in the lower right corner, and Argentina's Gonzalo Montiel also made a steady penalty kick, making it 1-3.

In the fourth round, Netherlands' Wout Weghorst hit the lower left corner with a low shot, while Enzo Fernandez of Argentina missed the left goal post, 2-3.

In the fifth round, Luuk de Jong of the Netherlands made a steady penalty kick, and Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez hit the lower left corner of the goal, 3-4.

Argentina eventually beat the Netherlands 4-3 on penalties and will face Croatia, which also beat Brazil on penalties, in the semi-finals.
