Manchester City 3-1 Leeds United: Erling Haaland 'Hungrier Than Ever'

Erling Haaland scored twice in Manchester City’s 3-1 win against Leeds United at Elland Road, and said afterwards he is relishing the challenge of "hunting down" league leaders Arsenal.

Haaland became the fastest player to reach 20 Premier League goals with a double against Leeds, achieving the record in just 14 games.

The win closes the gap between Manchester City and Arsenal to five points, as Pep Guardiola's side overtook Newcastle United to regain second place.

Asked whether missing out on the World Cup spurred him on, Haaland said he’s “hungrier than ever” to return to club football and seek his first Premier League title.

“I’m more hungry and I’m more ready than ever.”

The Norway international has scored 26 times in 20 appearances under Guardiola in all competitions -- the quickest that any player has reached 25 goals under the City boss with top-flight clubs.
