In the second round of the Dutch Cup, the second division Den Bosch will face the Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax. Den Bosch have been playing very poorly lately, having lost four straight league games, three of which they failed to score. The previous match against Ajax was back in the 2004-2005 season, and they lost both games, conceding 7 goals in total.

AFC Ajax has not been doing well recently either, losing 1-2 at home to PSV Eindhoven before the World Cup break and then drawing three straight league games to finish in second place in the table, three points behind Feyenoord. The 1-1 draw away to NEC Nijmegen in the last round was also their fourth consecutive loss on handicap.
